Keep safe and well, everyone.
I’m not currently running any workshops or training, due to Covid and my current residency in the Canadian Arctic. However, a very good place to find one-to-one and online training is through the Troikatronix online user forum, at Isadora’s main website.
Keep safe and well, everyone.
2020 Online Isadora Training
Online training is available again! In 2015, I moved to Nunavut in the Canadian Arctic, and in 2017 decided to take a break from online teaching, though I have continued to mentor youth and train Inuit artists and performers. It has also continued to be a busy time for my own art practice, with installations and performances in Canada, at the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto) and the National Arts Centre and National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa).

Isadora version 2.1 released
A significant new update release - version 2.1 - is available now for download at the Trokatronix's Isadora website. It is recommended for all users of Isadora and includes significant new features and bug fixes.
Download v2.1: http://troikatronix.com/download/isadora-download/
However, it is strongly recommended that before you dive into it... that you actually take a few minutes to study the release notes. Some of the changes are much more than cosmetic! If you take the time to understand the way that video can now be handled on the GPU (graphics card) instead of the CPU (computer processor) for instance, you can significantly improve the efficiency of playback of multiple HD video clips and live camera feeds. But in order to achieve that you should study the release note's recommendations for changes to the recommended video codecs for compression.
v2.1 Release Notes: http://troikatronix.com/isadora-2-1-release-notes/
An update to the older version 1.3 Isadora User Manual is underway, scheduled for release with v2.2 in late December.
The next release is scheduled for the end of the year... containing serious new tools for the ambitious video artist! So keep an eye on the user forum and troika website around that time.

Making the Stage Frontmost When Using Login Items on Mac OS X
(This workaround is needed for Mac OS 10.9 and later only.)
When opening Isadora documents automatically using the Login Items feature of System Preferences, the menu bar of the Finder will be in front of the stage. (Since 10.9, this is the case for all applications, not just Isadora.)
This article allows you to work around the problem.
