An Isadora installation talks to a visitor and summons the designer for a chat.
On July 9 at the Rye Studio School careers day for 16-18 year old students, Jamie Griffiths welcomed students to the world of interactive art and design. The Isadora software installation detects a visitor in the chair, welcomes them verbally and then instructs them to send a text to summon the artist/designer to meet them at the table for a chat.
A nice blog from Graham Thorne aka Skulpture about his experience designing with Isadora at The Glastonbury Temple, this year.
Isadora's own Mark Coniglio will be teaching one of the two modules at this 5 day event in Austria. Info below. Sign up deadline July 20th 2014.
Schmiede is currently developing a new project to further enhance the possibilities of professionals and will consequently establish an academy format in Hallein. Its goal will be to radically enable participants to explore and deepen their personal work and develop tools to communicate it.
Two modules will be available in 2014:
# Integrating new media and performers on stage - Mark Coniglio
# Bespoke - developing projects in performing arts - Beda Percht
Professional artists and creators are invited to apply. Participation in the SchmiedeLab: Akademie (September 15. - 19. 2014) is not free – but thanks to a generous grant from the city of Hallein, Schmiede is able to offer scholarships for selected participants.
An independent jury, in cooperation with the module leaders, will conduct the selection.
